If you are a potential home buyer and are considering Foothill Ranch real estate for the first time, here is some additional information on the community and surrounding areas. The city of Lake Forest puts on an annual summer concert at Pittsford Park. The Marine Corp’s Air Station El Toro used to be located less than two-miles from the city of Lake Forest in the city of Irvine, and on the Fourth of July there is a fireworks display and 5K run that takes place at the Lake Forest Keys next to the Sun and Sale Club. The Foothill Ranch properties are served by the Saddleback Valley Unified School District, and the city is bordered by Trabuco Canyon to the east, Laguna Hills to the southwest, Irvine to the west, Mission Viejo to the southeast and Limestone Canyon Regional Park to the north.

Lake Forest Sports Park and Recreation Center opened on November 1, 2014, across the street from Saddleback Church, and the Foothill Ranch homes for sale are served by two Public Libraries: the El Toro branch and the Foothill Ranch branch. Foothill Ranch is close to two county parks; Whiting Ranch and Heritage Hill historic park, and the community is found in what is considered a year-round Mediterranean climate. The Lake Forest community had formerly been known as El Toro for quite a long period of time, and the Foothill Ranch community (along with Baker Ranch and Portola Hills), are the newest additions to the city of Lake Forest. Lake Forest has been ranked as one of the safest cities in the United States, and the city (and its neighborhoods and subdivisions) are recognized as being master-planned.

The Foothill Ranch properties are close to Newport Beach and Balboa Peninsula/Island and its three-mile-long stretch with the harbor on one side and broad, sandy California beaches on the other, which is known as “the Peninsula”, and the Hyatt Regency Concert Series is the longest running music concert on the West Coast. Orange County has a thriving arts and culture scene, and Foothill Ranch real estate benefits from being in close proximity to the Orange County Museum of Art, Newport Theatre Arts Center and Explore Ocean. Orange County is famous for aquatic sports activities, fishing, swimming and surfing, and the Foothill Ranch homes for sale are close to all of South Orange County best beaches including Crystal cove, Corona Del Mar and Doheny State Beach’s, as well as Newport, Huntington and Laguna, public beaches.
