At the Ralphs Skate Park on September 10th, the Friends of San Clemente Beach, along with the City of San Clemente and the Parks and Recreation Foundation is hosting the 16th annual San Clemente Open Skateboard Contest. Included in the registration is a contest t-shirt. During the event you will find a vendor fair including food and beverages served by local merchants. On September 19th, the city is holding its Orange County Coastal Cleanup Day which starts at 9:00 a.m. and lasts until noon and begins at the San Clemente Pier. Coastal Cleanup day is the country’s largest trash pick-up. In the state alone, over 60,000 volunteers come together to get rid of the trash and make our local beaches a better place to visit.
