Aliso Viejo Real Estate Market Update - Community Events 55+ Seniors

 

The city of Aliso Viejo is very friendly community for the 55+ senior offering, many specialized events and classes throughout the year. You can burn calories, strengthen your muscles, using only a chair in Zumba Toning, which is set to Latin-infused music. The classes are held at Iglesa Park Community Center from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., and the fee is $3 donation for the instructor.  On Tuesdays from 9:15 – 10:00 a.m. you can Lap Swim and stay fit by exercising in the pool. You can sign up for either a day pass or a season pass. The fee is $10.00 per class, with pool entrance fee waived (for class attendance only), and it is located at the Aliso Viejo Aquatics Center. The Outdoor Explorations Golf Program is designed for adults that are 50+. It promotes healthier aging through the beautiful game of golf, and it is affiliated with the CSU Fullerton. There is no cost to join, and you will enjoy free practice times, access to golf lessons, monthly special formats and special events throughout the year. It is held at the Lake Forest Golf Course and Practice Center off of El Toro Road.

On October 14th you will find the 60th Annual Silverado Days which is being held at the William Peak Park. The city is celebrating 60 year of hometown family fun. On Saturday, October 8th, the city is hosting its 52nd Annual Heritage Festival and Parade. On September 8th from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. the community offers a Senior Grocery Program in partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. Residents who attend this event can choose grocery items that meet their needs. There are no minimum income requirements and no prior registration in needed, people are requested to bring their own shopping bags. On September 7th from 7:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. come for a time for snacks, stories, songs and puppets (of course you should wear your pajamas). The event is called Pajama-Rama and meets in the Yorba Linda Public Library Community Room. On September 15th, Students from 4th – 8th grade are invited to the Tween Pizza Party which starts at 6:30 and lasts until 7:30 p.m. The kids can make their own pizzas, play bingo and participate in other activities. The event is free.

On September 17th, Volunteers are welcome to attend the 2016 Creek Clean Up Even (aka The Annual Inter-Coastal and Watershed Cleanup Day). The focus will be on tidying up the San Juan and Arroyo Trabuco Creeks. The event starts at 8:30 a.m. and will begin at Descanso Part, with is found across from the City Hall in Downtown San Juan Capistrano. People attending will remove trash and debris, and they will receive a free lunch. On Saturday, September 17th, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The city is hosting a free Garden Class Series held at Reata Park and Event Center. The class is offered by the UC Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners of Orange County and hosted by Goin Native Therapeutic Gardens.

Upcoming Events in San Clemente Community - San Clemente Real Estate Market

 

There are numerous upcoming events in the San Clemente community during the month of September. At the Ralphs Skate Park on September 10th, the Friends of San Clemente Beach, along with the City of San Clemente and the Parks and Recreation Foundation is hosting the 16th annual San Clemente Open Skateboard Contest. It is open to both men and woman of all ages, and the event begins at 8:00 a.m. If you register before September the fee to enter is $35, after September 5th, the fee is $40. Included in the registration is a contest t-shirt. During the event you will find a vendor fair including food and beverages served by local merchants. On September 19th, the city is holding its Orange County Coastal Cleanup Day which starts at 9:00 a.m. and lasts until noon and begins at the San Clemente Pier. Coastal Cleanup day is the country’s largest trash pick-up. In the state alone, over 60,000 volunteers come together to get rid of the trash and make our local beaches a better place to visit. There are actually clean-up sites located all over Orange County, if you do not happen to live in San Clemente.
