This is the last blog entry on why we believe that God gave
us two ears and one mouth.
The bottom line is this: when every team-member with the
company listens more than they talk, the organization gets better, it has to. A
team of great listeners can make the difference between a mediocre company and
a great one. That means listening to people up and down the line at every line
of the firm – to clients, co-workers and vendors.
Is it possible to be a Realtor in Orange County without
being a listener? The answer is yes. I imagine you could interview people all
across Southern California that worked with Realtors who talked more than they
listened and still got the job done. Is it possible to be an excellent Orange
County Realtor without listening? The answer is no. No one can go to the
highest level – get their clients the best results – help take their company to
the top, without being a good listener.
The reason that a real estate professional won’t find their
clients best dream home or get them the most optimum price for their home if
they aren’t great listeners is this: if they don’t know who their client is and
where they really want to go, and what they really want to accomplish, they can
never really serve their client professionally. A professional can only
accomplish these things by listening.
We hope you enjoyed reading our series on why we feel it is
so important for a professional real estate company to be great listeners
instead of always spouting off about how treat they are or how much better they
are than everyone else.
