The city of Placentia has numerous upcoming events and activities scheduled for the residents of Placentia in the Fall. On Saturday, October 8th, the city is hosting its 52nd Annual Heritage Festival and Parade. It kicks off at 6:30 a.m. with a traditional pancake breakfast which is presented by the Rotary Club, which will be followed by the Band Review and Parade at 9:15. The Festival starts at 10:00 a.m. at Tri-City Park, where you find non-profit displays, business expo, inflatable slides, craft fair, food booths and games for the children. The annual Tamale Festival will be held in Old Town Placentia on Wednesday, December 9th from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and is hosted by the Santa Fe Merchants Association. There will be live entertainment by the Mariachi Divas, and the event will feature a re-enacting of the travels of Mary and Joseph. The will be delicious tamales available for purchase (individual or in bulk). The kids will have an opportunity to meet with Santa Claus, receive a gift and pose for pictures.
