This is part 2 in a 3 part series of passion in real estate.
It was originally going to be a 2 part blog but we are extending out to a 3
part series.
Passion is the bread that holds the sandwich together at
BanCorp Realty. We believe that all people want to be “on fire” and passionate
in everything they do, in both their personal the professional lives. The reason
passion is so important is that it will cover up a whole multitude of sins:
from buzyiness to lack of focus to the bump-and-grind of our daily grind. As I
mentioned yesterday, I will take passion over experience and education every
day of the week (although I would prefer all 3).
Passion is the straw that stirs the drink because:
Talent…is never enough to enable us to reach our full
potential. There are many people in the world with great natural talent who
never achieve personal or professional success. To be a successful person-to be
a successful professional-you need more than just talent.
Opportunity…will never get us to the top by itself.
Opportunities may open the door, but the success journey is often long and
difficult. Without the passion that sustains when times get tough, people don’t
make the most of their opportunities and they never reach their potential. In
other words “Don’t put live eggs under dead chickens.” That is what
opportunities are to people without passion.
